教师节由来

1985年9月10日，是第一个教师节。教师节是我国仅有的包括护士节、记者节在内的3个行业性节日。自1931年以来，我国在不同历史时期共有过4种不同日期和性质的教师节。1931年教育界知名教授邰爽秋、程其保等联络京、沪教育界人士，拟定每年6月6日为教师节，并发表《教师节宣言》，这是我国最早的教师节。

1939年，国民党政府教育部决定另立孔子诞辰日(8月27日)为教师节，并颁发了《教师节纪念暂行办法》，但当时未能在全国推行。1951年，中华人民共和国教育部和中华全国总工会共同商定，将教师节与“五一”国际劳动节合并一起作为我国教师节。由于种种原因，教师节实际上并未实行。为了发扬“尊师重教”的优良传统，提高教师地位，1985年1月21日，确定每年9月10日为中国的教师节。从此以后，老师便有了自己的节日。
