Automaker FAW - Volkswagen has become the target of envy as news spread online of the

companys plans to give out year-end bonuses equaling 27 months of salaries, Guangzhou Daily

reported Thursday.

The company confirmed the news but said it was not that much as they based the bonus on the

basic salary, which is 3,000 yuan ($466) per month. Basic salary accounts for one-third of the

total payroll for the company, the report said.

据广州日报周三报道，网上一条一汽大众将发放相当于27个月工资的年终奖，招来一片“羡慕嫉妒恨”。

一汽大众证实了该条消息，但是称是以3000元(466美元)的月基本工资作为奖金发放的基数，所以实际并没

有那么多。报道称，一汽大众公司员工的基本工资占工资总额的三分之一。

“年终奖”的.英文是year-end bonus，文中的year-end bonuses是其复数形式。FAW的全称是First

Automobile Workshop，即“第一汽车制造厂”；Volkswagen是德国的汽车品牌大众，其缩写为VW。Payroll是

公司支付给员工的工资总额，员工工资总额一般由basic salary（基本工资）和bonus（奖金）组成。
