备考雅思时如何消除紧张情绪
There are various reasons why students do not achieve excellent marks in IELTS test. Some people may wonder why some students participated in class, done all of their homework, studied hard, and had a grip on the IELTS Oral English material. However, when the day of the test comes, they suddenly blank out, freeze up, zone out, or feel so nervous that they can not get themself together to respond to those questions of the examiner. They are completely out of their mind at that time even though they had absoultely prepared for the test. And then, we try to find and finally get the answer of this problem. Nervousness during the test is one of the biggest reason why candidates can not achieve an ideal mark in the Oral test of IELTS.
It's pretty normal to feel a little nervous and stressed before and at a test. Especially, in an oral exam because you have to talk to the examiner face to face alone. And a touch of nervous anticipation can actually help you calm down and keep you at peak performance while you're taking the test. But for some people, this normal anxiety is more intense. The nervousness they feel before a test can be so strong that it interferes with their concentration or performance. Therefore, it will affect the result of their exam.
It can help to learn ways to calm yourself down and get centered when you're tense or anxious during the test. For some candidate, they can simply learn a simple breathing exercise during the test and have a proper training about it in their training class before the test.
Everything takes time and practice, and learning to beat test anxiety is no different. Although it won't go away overnight, facing and dealing with test anxiety will help you learn stress management, which can prove to be a valuable skill in many situations besides taking tests.
In the next article, I will write about how can students cope up with nervousness in the test. And how to prepare for the exam so that they will not feel too anxious or too nervous when they are in front of the examiner. Furthermore, I will also tackle more techniques and ways on how to prepare for the test.
